How Do I Become a Christian?

  • Know that you have violated God's ways-Sinned. "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

  • Know that your sin has eternal consequences. "The wages of sin is death (spiritual), but the free gift (John 3:16) of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

  • Know that God has made it possible to receive (John 1:12) His gift. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

  • Know that as God changes our thoughts and attitudes, we call out to Him because we can do nothing within ourselves. (Ephesians 2:8-10) it's all about our Savior, Jesus Christ. "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." "For by grace (unmerited favor), you have been saved through faith; and not of yourselves, it is a gift of God..." Romans 10:9-10, 13)

  • Know that God, in tribute and thanksgiving to Him, desires our obedience to Him through a changed life. "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2

  • What about baptism? In Acts 8:26-39, Philip ministered to an Ethiopian who was reading the Bible. Philip wanted to know if he understood and believed what the Bible said, Philip was eager to baptize this new believer. The Biblical principle is: "Believe and be baptized" (Acts 2:41, 10:47) in that order. Therefore, we do not baptize anyone before they have "received" Christ as Savior. Our Baptism is by immersion - we would love to share with you all the Biblical teachings that have shaped our actions. Would you like to be baptized? Come forward during an invitation or contact Pastor Arlin for more details.

  • Can I become a member of this church?  Church membership is a blessing for the Church and the believer. We would love to talk with you concerning the matter.  If you are interested in the particulars - let it be known. Contact Pastor Arlin for more details.
